Keep up the pressure on the MDA

Over the past year we have been gathering signatures and support from concerned community members who want the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) to give CBF the noxious classification it deserves. If you signed the petition, thank you - now let’s take it one step further. The Noxious Weed Advisory Committee has reviewed our petition and is currently drafting a risk assessment for CBF. We are now focusing on compiling evidence of the harm that CBF does to native plant communities.

Tell us below about your experience with CBF. Have you spent hours digging up the plant just for it to return the next year? Does your neighbor have a property full of CBF that they refuse to deal with? Is it crowding out native plants in your favorite park? We will compile these stories and present them to the MDA as evidence that they need to take action now
